James Polles Joins Land Use and Redevelopment Practice

Schenck Price is pleased to welcome James E. Polles as Counsel to the Firm in its Land Use and Redevelopment and Commercial Real Estate Practice Groups.

“We are excited to welcome James and his land use and related transactional experience to our burgeoning land use, redevelopment and transactions practice, as well as providing counsel to the Firm’s institutional clients,” said Gary F. Werner, Managing Partner. “Schenck Price prides itself on being at the forefront of providing unmatched service to our clients, and that includes recruiting talented attorneys to assist them in an ever-changing world, to ensure their long-term success.”

Polles concentrates his practice in real estate development, redevelopment and land use matters regarding industrial, commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate development projects. His extensive experience allows him to advise clients on the planning elements of real estate development and all aspects of the redevelopment process, including the negotiation of redevelopment agreements, developer's agreements, purchase and sale agreements, easements and related access agreements, and lease agreements, as well as representing clients before various planning boards and agencies.

Polles’s knowledge of local government operation provides him a unique insight into the decision-making process of elected officials and key governmental employees, by way of his previous experience providing general and special counsel services for various municipalities and planning boards.

Says Polles, “I look forward to being a part of a team at Schenck Price with a vision and a culture that encourages offering clients dynamic solutions to hurdles thought insurmountable amidst a global pandemic, with an eye towards positioning clients for sustained success and growth into the future, just as the firm has done since its inception.”
